Massive congrats to Taira (Tyler) Main from the Marist NH Premier side who has been picked up by the Ricoh Black Rams Rugby Club in Tokyo Japan. Ricoh play in the Top League, the highest level professional rugby competition in Japan. Former All Blacks Ma’a Nonu, Glen Osborne and Eroni Clarke have all played for Ricoh. Taira will be on a 3 year contract and is due in Japan on 1st October. He was also to be nominated for the NZ Universities team this year, but the Ricoh contract takes precedence. This is a great opportunity for him, and deserving of a young man who has learnt a ton since coming to NZ. We wish @tyler__main all the best on his new venture.
