WELCOME TO MARIST NORTH HARBOUR RUGBY CLUB

​​​​​​​Welcome to the Saints Junior Rip Rugby Spring League!

The purpose of this league is to provide an opportunity for new players to experience the game of Rip Rugby, for school players to play more than one-day tournaments, and for existing club players to extend their season.

It is being delivered in association with the Marist NH Rugby Club, with all games played at the NH Domain (Marist fields).

Entries & Registrations

The Saints Rip Rugby Spring League is first and foremost about children’s participation and fun playing the sport of Rip Rugby. We want to provide a reasonably level playing field for our teams, so we wish to discourage the formation of ‘super teams’ through “loading” a team with elite players.

Entries Due: Friday 16th September 2023 (email below form to springrip@maristnh.co.nz)

Season Dates: Friday 13th Oct - 8th Dec 2023 (8 weeks in Term 4) 
No game Labour Weekend (Fri 20th Oct)


ENTERING TEAMS
We accept entries from Individual Teams, or via Rugby Clubs or via Schools.

Team lists are due before the first game (Fri 13th Oct).

ENTRY FEES
Once entered, you will be invoiced the $250 per team entry fee.

Please ensure fees are paid prior to the first game (Fri 13th Oct) into bank account:

Contact

Saints Spring Rip is being run by Sara Prendergast (Admin), with assistance from Megan Johnson (Admin + Kitchen/Bar), and Chloe Swift (Game Day Coordinator).

Chloe is responsible for setting up fields (along with referees), allocating score cards, timing rounds and blowing the horn. She can help with simple questions, however if there are any issues or complaints, please email them through to Sara & Megan to handle.

27/08/23: We are seeking interested high school students or adults to register as a Saints Spring Rip Referee by emailing springrip@maristnh.co.nz. Referees will be paid a donation of $10/game.
